OBJECTIVES

  • Advising South Stream Transport B.V., on certification of equipment in the Russian Federation, as well as compliance with industrial safety rules and regulations in construction of gas pipelines in the Russian Federation
  • Ensuring compliance of technical equipment with requirements of the Russian legislation and developing specification for the equipment

TRAINING AND ADVICE
Stage 1

PROMPROEKT experts provided advice on certification of the equipment, materials and technologies, and as a result experts provided a detailed certification plan. 

 

ANALYSIS AND TESTING

STAGE 2

According the Certification plan, PROMPROEKT experts examinde technical documentation of the equipment. They made recommendations on conformity of the equipment and technical documentation according to requirements of the Russian legislation on industrial safety and requirements of Technical regulations of the Customs Union.

CERTIFICATION AND EXPERT REPORT
Stage 3

The project is currently on hold. However, the equipment is prepared for certification procedure. Individual equipments’ certificates have been obtained.

RESULTS

Construction of the South Stream gas pipeline is currently on hold. However, we have completed first and second stages. Selection of suppliers and equipment is underway. South Stream Transport B.V. is actively working on design of the pipeline and infrastructure development of its Russian coastal segment.

PLANS

When construction is recommenced, PROMPROEKT will continue to advise on certification and safety of offshore section of the South Stream gas pipeline and will continue to develop technical documentation necessary for use and operation of the equipment in the Russian Federation, where applicable.
